In June the square rigged Picton Castle made her entry past the lighthouse bar into Lunenburg Harbour.  This barque had left  harbour May 29, 2005 and returned to Nova Scotia, on June 17, 2006, after an travelling 30,000 ocean miles, making more than 20 port calls. This completed her fouth circumnavigation of the globe.
