Back To The Future Part 1
Use browser back button to retuirn to splash page or scroll downward to access control buttons.

A screen shot of my splash page (Jan. 2010)as seen in Google's online "Browser Sizer" which you can find at http://browsersize.googlelabs.com/.  Those colours indicate various sizes of monitor, My own monitor sees more than the 1200 x700 pixels indicated here. The oildest screens only constitute 1% of those in use,  but you can see that a fair number of people are using older viewing surfaces which demand scrolling. The percentages indicated that fully half my potential viewers were missing important content which was truncated by the bottom of the screen.. Some have not yet mastered downward left, let alone horizontal scrolling,  and it appears that good web design should restrict screen width to about 725 pixels. To make certain that the "next" and "last" controls are visible to all comers they obviously have to be at the top of the page as well as the bottom,  unless they are placed within a pixel range that accomodates at least 90% of viewers. I am gradually redesigning in an attempt to make make the content available to a wider public. I have not yet considered the e-phone and Blackberry problem!

Tried rescuing that January page by removing an illustration at the top of the page. With simplification of the leading text I got this improvementbut the instruction "click images or underlined words to proceed" was still lost to 15% of viewers and my e-mail address to at least 10% who arrived at this splash page.  Back to the future with smaller illustrations and less text per page! All the icons are now about 50% smaller and new pages are designed with these new parameters in mind! I have withdrawn some earlier material for reeconsideration, so the wight of this site is much reduced.
