I was asked to provide a painting of flowers to grace a spring showing in Bridgewater. Since there are not many about at this season, I went back to my somewhat slim file of loral photos including one of a hanging basket of fuschias seen last summer on my mother-in-law's back verandha.

I am always a bit leery of undertaking anything this complex where a fairly comprehensive underlying sketch is needed. I don't attempt to draw every aobservable petal, stigma and stamen, but some fairly well-observed outlines are needed, where a figure study or landscape might be more forgiving.
