Rod will appear next August 16 and 17 at Paint the Town in Annapolis Royal.
The first of these took place in August 1996, with 25 artists
coming to paint on site around the historic town of Annapolis Royal.
Annapolis Royal was delighted to welcome; sculptures, carvers,
photographers and textile artists to our ever-expanding cornucopia of
mediums. In 2007 no less than 84 artists and craftspeople came to
Annapolis Royal to participate.
Dry paintings completed in the studio will be
offered for sale along with on-the-spot plein air efforts of a
much more summary nature. Silent auctions are held at the Legion Hall
during this two-day event

Rod Mackay will be presenting new local paintings at the Mahone Bay Nursing Home Mini Gallery from June 30
until July 25, 2008. Entry is indicated by a sign on the front lawn.
This show and sale is partly
in support of the Home and during July a commission will paid for any
painting sold there, or on the web, or through my studio.
Mahone Nursing Home is a long term care
facility licensed by the Nova Scotia Department
of Health to provide nursing and personal care
to eligible individuals.
Located in the Town of Mahone Bay, Mahone
Nursing Home’s roots are deep seated in this
beautiful town. Built over 100 years ago, the
original building was operated as the Royal
Hotel. After closing the hotel, the building was
opened as a nursing home in 1965. In the early
1980’s the home was purchased by it’s current
owner, MacLeod Group, a Nova Scotia based
company with headquarters in Antigonish. MacLeod
Group operates five nursing homes in the
province. After renovations in the early 1990’s,
Mahone Nursing Home is now home to 57 residents.
